An amazing starter for a potluck party and also a tasty tea-time snack!

  • 1 cup boiled chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
  • 1 medium sized potato, cubed
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • Chaat masala powder, ¾ teaspoon
  • Amchur powder, ¼ teaspoon
  • Tamarind chutney, 2-3 tablespoons
  • Pudina chutney, 2-3 tablespoons
  • 1 medium sized Green chilli,finely chopped
  • Sev, 3 tablespoons
  • A small bunch of Coriander, finely chopped
  • Pomegranate, 2 tablespoons (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  1. Mix together the chickpeas and potatoes in a bowl.
  2. Add the onions, green chillies and coriander leaves to the bowl.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  4. Taste the chaat and adjust the tamarind chutney and pudina chutney per requirement
  5. Refrigerate the chaat for a couple of hours.
  6. Serve cold!
