  • Ripe Kerala Bananas, 2
  • Rice Powder or Cornflour(Corn starch), 4 tbspns
  • All Purpose Flour, 2 tbspns
  • Jaggery, 60 grams
  • Powdered Cardamom, ¼ tsp
  • Water, ½ cup
  • Oil for deep frying
  1. Cut the bananas into small round pieces and set aside.
  2. Mix the cornflour (corn starch) and flour in a bowl.
  3. Boil Jaggery with the water till it is completely dissolved.
  4. Add this to cornflour (corn starch)-flour mixture and mix well to ensure that there are no lumps.
  5. Add the powdered cardamom to the batter and mix well.
  6. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
  7. Dip the banana pieces in the batter and deep fry till golden brown. Serve hot!
Ensure that the batter is not too loose else it will absorb a lot of oil while frying.
