  • Button Mushrooms, 200 grams (10-12 mushrooms)
  • Finely chopped onions,1 medium sized
  • Finely chopped garlic, 1-2 tsps
  • Finely chopped Capsicum, ½ medium sized
  • Dried Basil leaves, ½ tsp
  • Oregano, ½ tsp
  • Pepper, 1 tsp
  • Mozzarella cheese for the topping
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil, 1 tbspn
  1. For the filling:
  2. Clean the mushrooms well.
  3. Remove the stem from the mushrooms and chop them finely.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and add the onions & garlic and saute them till the onions are light pink in colour.
  5. Now add the chopped mushroom stems and cook till the water from the mushrooms evaporate.
  6. Add the herbs, pepper, salt and mix well.
  7. At this stage add the capsicum and saute for a minute.
  8. For the stuffed mushrooms:
  9. Preheat your baking oven at 180C.
  10. Grease a baking tray and keep aside.
  11. Fill the mushrooms caps with a generous portion of the stuffing.
  12. Top it with mozzarella cheese and place it in the oven.
  13. Bake for 15-20 mins or till the mushrooms are done.
  14. Serve hot!
