SPICED PUMPKIN SMOOTHIE

Infamous for its sweltering heat, the weather is now the hot topic for all chennaites these days with the temperature soaring high. Cooking has become an arduous task and all i seem to be wanting to do is plonk myself in front of the air conditioner and drink jugsful of anything cold.

Summer Delight is the ideal recipe for the season. It is a milk shake made from Yellow pumpkin. I know the idea of having anything with pumpkin in it might be repulsive to many, but trust me ..it tastes amazing and top it all, it is healthy and easy to make!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup yellow pumpkin, chopped
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1.5 tbspns sugar
  • 1 cardamom, depodded
Instructions
  1. Cook the pumpkin pieces by microwaving it for five minutes. [You can also cook the pumpkin on stove].
  2. Place the cooked pumpkin in a blender along with milk, sugar and cardomom powder.
  3. Blend well.
  4. Serve chilled!!
